We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Intern Loan Processor to join our growing team.

Job description

The Intern Loan Processor will assist in processing mortgage loan applications and supporting senior processors in ensuring smooth and timely loan closings.

This role is ideal for individual looking to gain valuable experience in the Australian finance industry and develop a career in loan processing.

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities

  • Loan Application Processing: Assist in processing mortgage loan applications under the guidance of senior processors.
  • Analyze Documents: Review and assess all relevant documents such as Income Statements, Expense Reports, Asset Declarations, Liability Statements.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information and resolve issues.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input loan application information into loan processing software/systems.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain organized loan files and documentation throughout the loan process.
  • Compliance: Ensure all loan files meet regulatory requirements, company policies, and investor guidelines.
  • Support: Provide administrative support to senior loan processors and loan officers as needed.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; accounting graduates are highly desirable for this role.
  • Fresh graduates without experience are welcome to apply.
  • Eager to learn and grow in the Australian finance industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and good understanding of financial documents.
  • Passion and willingness to provide a smooth and detailed loan process for clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and willingness to learn from senior team members.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in procedures and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
